The Biosynthesis of C13 Compounds
نویسندگان
چکیده
1. Starch, containing 7.05 atom per cent C(13) excess has been produced in the mesophyll cells of bean leaves, starting with C(13)O(2) containing 7.26 atom per cent C(13) excess. Approximately 67 per cent of the C(13) taken up by the leaves was determined in the starch fraction. 2. The soluble carbohydrate, containing 6.72 atom per cent C(13) excess, accounts for approximately 23 per cent of the C(13) taken up by the leaves. The remainder was principally in the coarse tissue fragments fraction (9.73 per cent of the C(13) utilized). 3. The apparatus and procedures used in this experiment are described.

Parabens Effects on Estrogenic Receptors of C13 Cell Line
Ovarian cancer is one of the major causes of death in women. Parabens are a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, they mimic estrogens, which are known to play a role in the development of different cancers in women. The Aim of this study was to investigate the proliferative effects of Methyl Paraben (MP) and Propyl Paraben (PP) on human ovaria...
متن کاملThe effect of drought stress on the expression of some genes involved in monoterpene and sesquiterpanes biosynthesis and essential oil compounds in basil
Background: Basil (Ocimum basillicum L.) is one of the most important medicinal plants belong to Lamiaceae family. Basil essential oil contains important terpenoid compounds, including monoterpanes and sesquiterpanes widely used in drug industries. Objective: In the current investigation, a completely randomized design-based experiment was conducted in greenhouse with three replications and tre...
متن کاملA Comprehensive Overview on Valuable Tropane Alkaloids: Scopolamine, Atropine, and Hyoscyamine
Tropane alkaloids such as scopolamine (C17H21NO4), atropine (C17H23NO3) and hyoscyamine (C17H23NO3) are the most important plant secondary metabolites in the pharmaceutical industry due to anticholinergic activity, competition with muscarinic receptors and also treating different human diseases. Scopolamine, hyoscyamine and atropine are the most important tropane alkaloids used as anticoagulant...
متن کاملA Facile and Green Biosynthesis of Silver Nanostructures by Aqueous Extract of Suaeda Acuminata after Microwave Assisted Extraction
In the present study, a simple, efficient and fast synthetic strategy was reported for the green biosynthesis of silver nanostructures (i.e. nanoroads and nanoparticles) by the extract of Suaeda Acuminata plant, without any catalyst, template or surfactant. Aqueous extracts were obtained by maceration and microwave assisted extraction (MAE) methods. In MAE procedure, the effec...
متن کاملBiosynthesis of metallic nanoparticles using plant extracts and evaluation of their antibacterial properties
The increasing attention being paid to metallic nano particles (MNPs) is due to their intensive applications in different areas of science such as medicine, chemistry, agriculture, and biotechnology. The main methods for nanoparticle production are chemical and physical approaches that are often costly and potentially harmful to the environment. Since the eco-frien...
